Charlie Morley

Charlie Morley is a Lucid Dreaming teacher and practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism specialising in the use of both Western scientific and Tibetan Buddhist dream practices with the aims of bringing mindful awareness into all stages of dream, sleep and waking life. .

He is the co-creator of a new holistic approach to conscious sleeping and lucid dreaming called “Mindfulness of Dream and Sleep”. This new approach includes practices which aim to help us sleep better, dream more lucidly and wake up with more awareness, clarity and joy!

Through learning how to sleep mindfully and dream lucidly we can begin to wake up in our daily lives as well as our dream and sleep as we become more lucidly aware and mindfully enter onto a path of both spiritual and psychological awakening.

In late 2011 Charlie launched a new series of workshops on the subject of happiness which have been created under the guidance of meditation instructor Rob Nairn and have the support of Lama Yeshe Rinpoche. The workshop is entitled THE SCIENCE OF HAPPINESS: “WAKE UP AND SMILE!”

Good day to all the dreamerzzz!

After a wonderfully well attended workshop with South African Sangoma John Lockley my next stop (via the LUCID DREAMING FORUM this Sunday evening@ www.theacademyofdreams.com ) is John’s homeland for a 4 week teaching tour of South Africa and Zimbabwe!

When I return in mid-June the next major events will be the HOLY ISLE 4 DAY MINDFULNESS OF DREAM AND SLEEP RETREAT in late June and then the SOUTH WALES 4 DAY MINDFULNESS OF DREAM AND SLEEP RETREAT in late July.

What is Mindfulness of Dream and Sleep? It’s a holistic approach to lucid dreaming within the context of Tibetan Buddhism, or as one retreatant once said “it’s like lucid dreaming but with more cool stuff!”

JOINT WORKSHOP WITH AFRICAN DREAM SANGOMA!

I had a great time teaching in New York and will hopefully be returning in a few months time for more workshops

This weekend I will be in Glasgow teaching the follow up course to the previous two weekends (the follow up course is open only to those who have attended an intro workshop) so I’m looking forward to seeing all the Glasgow dreamers again!

Then on the evening of Sunday 29^th April me and South African Sangoma dream shaman John Lockley will be running a joint workshop in central London which is all set to be a great event!

In this unique workshop, South African shaman, John Lockley, teams up with Buddhist lucid dreaming teacher, Charlie Morley, to offer a very special evening workshop exploring the dream practices of African shamanism, Western lucid dreaming and Tibetan Buddhism. To our knowledge this workshop is the first time that African shamanic dream practice and lucid dreaming practices have been combined, so this is one not to miss!

John will be teachingtraditional South African Shamanic dream practice and how it relates to modern day dream work practices. The teachings are practical and interactive, using contact with each person’s individual ancestral lineage to engage a powerful link which can be accessed through our dreams.
Charlie will be teachingpractical ways in which lucid dreaming within the spiritual path can give us the tools to train our minds, reprogram our habits and enter into a friendship with every aspect of our psyches, all while we’re sound asleep.

John is ancestrally trained and initiated Xhosa Sangoma (a traditional South African Shaman) who was one of the first white men ever to do the full 10 year apprenticeship required to become a fully initiated sangoma. HAPPINESS WORKSHOP THIS WEEKEND!

This weekend March 3^rd and 4^th I will be running the brand new WAKE UP AND SMILE: THE SCIENCE OF HAPPINESS workshop at Kagyu Samye Dzong, the wonderful Tibetan Buddhist centre in London which is my home.

I know many of you have done the lucid dreaming workshops in the past but this is something totally new: a brand new weekend workshop dedicated to exploring HAPPINESS!

I recently ran this workshop in Venice and we had a lot of fun! It’s very practical and very interactive. It includes loads of cutting edge neuro-scientific research into how we can create more happiness in our lives, lots of practical writing exercises from the tradition of “positive psychology” and an creative mindfulness meditation techniques.

Rob Nairn helped me to put the workshop together and his input is evident throughout
